Reviewing Procedure
The principles for texts reviewing in the Regional Journal are compatible with the rules of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Sending an article for publication indicates agreeing by an author(authors) on its review process.
2. Editorial Committee undertakes a preliminary assessment of articles in terms of their content and form. Texts which are prepared against the guidelines for authors are not accepted.
3. Editorial Committee chooses reviewers of an issue of the journal.
4. A reviewer of an article published in the scientific journal is a senior scientific staff member from the science and research area being the subject of publication (in justified cases departures from this principle shall be permitted).
5. An article is reviewed by two independent reviewers.
6. Reviews are based on the principle of double-blind review process, which means that both reviewers and authors do not identity of each other. Texts submitted for review should prevent the identification of an author (text without details of the author and without references allowing for his/her identification).
7. Review is made excluding conflict of interests between authors and reviewers for which the following points are considered:
8. In case of conflict of interest, both authors and reviewers are required to inform Editorial Committee about it.
9. Articles are reviewed through SENIR, application and reviewing system of articles.
10. Review of articles is written on the form used in the publishing house and contains unequivocal conclusion to allow or reject an article for publication.
11. Review is regarded as negative when at least in one of the following three assessment criteria an article has got a failing grade:
12. The condition of accepting an article for publication is obtaining two positive reviews.
13. When justified an article can be reviewed for the third time if two earlier reviews at least in one of the aforementioned criteria included opposite grades (inadequate – very good).
14. Editorial secretary informs authors about reviews results and offers access to them in order to have an opportunity to respond to reviewers’ comments. Authors are asked to return a corrected article no later than 14 days from the date of receiving a review.
15. Reviewing process is carried out in accordance with the rules of confidentiality. Reviewers are not allowed to use knowledge on the article or research results and information presented in it before its publication.
16. Editorial office does not reveal names of reviewers of individual articles. Editorial office publishes on the website and in the journal a general list of surnames of reviewers who have cooperated with the journal in a given year.
Journal Ethics
In the event of any misconduct on authors or reviewers side, the Journal Editors shall comply with the principles of publication ethics and will apply the procedures included in the diagrams of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Below are presented core responsibilities resulting from respecting publication ethics:
Author
1. Author is responsible for presenting the research results in a reliable, honest and accurate way. Articles submitted to the journal should be original, not violating copyrights of third parties and they ought to correspond to the issues of the journal. It is considered unethical to submit or publish an article in more than one journal.
2. Every article shall be subject to anti-plagiarism procedures in iThenticate system. All forms of plagiarism and auto-plagiarism are treated as unethical.
3. Authors of submitted texts are obliged to read and understand the conditions of CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
4. In case of collective work authors are obliged to make a statement about their contribution to the publication. The declaration is filled on article submission.
5. Making quotes, reporting theorems and research findings or data prepared by other authors has to be annotated. The author is responsible for appending all sources used while preparing publication to the article.
6. The author is responsible for informing the Editorial Committee about all potential conflicts of interest.
7. The author is to notify the Editorial Committee without delay of instances of error or inaccuracy detection in a published article.
Editorial Board
1. Accepting the article for publication the Editorial Board are committed in particular to its originality, quality and coherence with the scientific profile of the journal.
2. Editorial Board of the journal make sure that ethical standards of the journal are respected and take great care good publishing practices are followed.
3. Editorial Board document any manifestations of scientific unreliability, in particular concerning violation of ethics in science.
4. Editorial Board may not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript apart from the author, reviewers, members of the Editorial Committee and publishing editors, as needed.
5. Unpublished materials disclosed in the submitted article cannot be used in own research of the editorial office.
Reviewers
1. Reviewers guarantee independence and the absence of conflict of interests in reviewer-author relationship. If a reviewer presumes an identity of the author of an article, he/she immediately informs the Editorial Committee about it.
2. Reviews should be prepared objectively, in accordance with the rules of publishing ethics and based on substantive arguments. The core evaluation criteria are:

3. A reviewer is responsible to inform the Editorial Committee immediately in the case of suspected infringement of principles of scientific reliability.
4. All reviewed articles are kept confidential and their content cannot serve personal gain.
Fees
All submissions scheduled for publication after January 1st, 2025, will be processed and published free of charge. This decision has been announced by the order of Rector of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (ZR 173/2024).

The condition of accepting an article for publication in the journal is presenting the following documents.
After having submitted an article in OJS the following documents should be sent to the e-mail address andrzej.bogucki@ue.wroc.pl or wydaw@ue.wroc.pl:
1. Scan of proof of payment
2. Statement of participation (in case of joint authorship articles)
3. Data needed to issue an invoice (if a University is a remitter tax identification number is needed).
