Prof. Stanisław Korenik

In 1988, he obtained a master's degree in economics at the Faculty of National Economy of the Wrocław University of Economics. From February 15, 1989, he undertook scientific and didactic work as an assistant trainee at the Wrocław University of Economics. In the years 1992–1993 he did scientific internships in France, at the University of Lille I, under the TEMPUS program. After obtaining the degree of doctor of economic sciences in June 1994, he worked as an adjunct until October 2001. He obtained his next degree, i.e. the habilitated doctor of economic sciences in January 1999 and from October 2001 he took the position of an associate professor. On 24.04.2012, the President of the Republic of Poland gave him the title of professor of economic sciences and on 01.01.2013 he was employed as a full professor. Currently, he works at the Department of Spatial Management and Local Government of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the Wrocław University of Economics, which he has been managing since 2004. In 1998-2012 he also worked at the School of Management and Finance in Wrocław, where he held various functions (e.g. dean, vice-rector) . In the years 2004–2005 he worked as prof. Associate. and also head of the Department of Regional Economy at the Institute of Economics at the Świętokrzyska Academy. From October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2014, he was employed as a professor at the Faculty of Economics of the Opole University. He is a member in various scientific bodies, for example - the Committee for the Country's Spatial Development of the Polish Academy of Sciences and bodies working for economic practice, including supervisory boards. He took part in the implementation of several research grants, national or international, performing various functions (managerial, executive, organizational) in them.
